Ninja Gaiden Trilogy
Recently I ended up playing the entire NES Ninja Gaiden Trilogy for the first time. It’s undoubtedly now my favourite series on the NES, with the first game being my favourite game on the NES.
For context if you haven’t played them:
It’s a series of Action Platformers (which means, there’s a big focus on fighting enemies as well) that feature wall jumping, tricky enemy spawns, instant death pits, Ninja magic subweapons, a mixture of enemies that either run at you, fly at you, or throw stuff at you, and also cutscenes between stages, which is only worth mentioning because the games are really old. The games are split up into Acts and stages the same way Mario Bros is split up into Worlds and stages(/levels?) and the final stage of every game ends with three back to back boss fights.
